As you opened your eyes this morning you noticed something was
different, at first you thought you were still dreaming so you willed
yourself awake. When nothing happened you pinched yourself, when still
nothing happened you pinched yourself harder. This time something
happened, you cried.Upon looking around the room you happened to notice
that all of your posters were missing, as was the paint on the walls,
light bulbs, and even the mattress that you thought you had been
sleeping on wasn't actually there. Instead it had been skillfully
replaced with a big hay filled mattress. As you stood staring in slack
jawed wonderment, an unknown person walks into the room and addresses
you by a name that you recognize, but you know for a fact isn't your
own. Slowly it dawns on you what has happened, although you are not
sure how or why. You have woken up during the Revolutionary Era and for
some reason you are being mistaken as an important figure of the time.
Because you don't know how to fix this yet you need to go with the flow
and act like this person so if you ever do get back home it will be a
home you recognize, and not one changed by your meddling in the past.
The multiple debates that will result at the end of this webquest must
be recorded and made into either an IMovie or a Podcast. Students will
be responsible for the recording and editing of these products.
